After 3 months, I finally have internet setup in my apartment now (YAY!). Japan is, in a word, AWESOME. I might just be in stage one of culture shock, but I love it here.

Everyone here is so artistic that it is inspiring me to improve my own art, which, let's face it, could use a lot of improvement.

Still planning on finishing all my unfinished projects...but surprisingly, work is busy here as well. That, or I'm a workaholic T_T. In any case, I WILL get it all done!

Just a quick status update: I'm off to Japan tomorrow. I'll be there for a year, assistant teaching English at 2 high schools in Takaoka-shi.

I won't have internet access for a while, so I'll probably be radio silent for longer than usual.

Summary: Fakir, still ducks guardian years after the Drosselmeyer incident, leaves Gold Crown Town for a few days to visit Karon, and to find inspiration. While discussing his life with Karon, he begins to absentmindedly doodle on his writing paper. He burns the wasted paper in the fireplace, but doesn't notice the mysterious sparks that emanate from his drawing of a duck and a fairy godmother.

Sorry, sports squeeing in this post. Feel free to skip it if you have no feelings about Soccer.

Had tickets to the Western Conference Finals--which the Dynamo won 2-0. Not the greatest game I've seen, but it was still hella entertaining. Unfortunately, we missed the first half thanks to the disaster that is called I-45. I hate that freakin freeway. Took 40 minutes to go two miles, because they couldn't clear what appeared to be a fender bender quickly. Ugh.

Anyway, while watching that game, I got inspired to finish my Whiste series--Sho was the only one left, but I wasn't so happy with his sketch. I'm gonna try to redraw tonight though, while I've still got the momentum.
